Asif Ali Web & Digital Growth

How I work

Six steps, in this order, every time.

Most campaigns fail before a single ad runs. Notice where the campaign sits below — it is step four. Everything in front of it decides whether the spend works at all, and skipping any of it is why so much advertising budget disappears without a trace.

01 The steps

What actually happens.

Each step lists what you receive at the end of it and what I need from you to finish it. No step is a status meeting.

01 Step 1

Discover

Understand the business, the product or service, your audience, your current digital presence and the real purpose of advertising — branding, enquiries, sign-ups or sales.

  • Business goals
  • Audience
  • Site audit

Nothing gets built until I understand what you actually sell and who actually buys it. That means the margin on each service, which enquiries are worth taking and which are a waste of your time, and what “working” would look like in three months.

Then I look at what you already have: the site, the analytics if any is installed, your Google Business Profile, and the ads your competitors are running right now. Most of the useful findings come from this last part — competitors have usually already paid to learn what converts in your market.

What you get

  • A written summary of where your enquiries come from today
  • An audit of the current site: speed, structure, mobile, tracking
  • A list of the competitors actually bidding against you

What I need from you: An hour of your time and read-only access to anything you already have — analytics, ad accounts, your Business Profile.

02 Step 2

Strategy

Extensive keyword and search-intent research, a detailed look at competitor sites and the ads they already run, then the website, marketing and growth plan that follows from it.

  • Keyword research
  • Competitor analysis
  • Channel mix

Keyword research is not a list of words — it is a map of intent. Somebody searching “12 seater tempo traveller on rent in delhi” and somebody searching “tempo traveller” are not the same customer, and they should not land on the same page or cost the same click.

The output is a sitemap and a channel plan that follow from that map. Which pages exist, what each one is for, which get paid traffic, which earn organic traffic, and what the budget split should be to start with. If paid search is the wrong first move for your business, this is the step where I say so.

What you get

  • A keyword list grouped by intent, with the page each one maps to
  • The sitemap: every page, and the job that page does
  • A recommended channel and budget split, with the reasoning

What I need from you: A decision on scope and budget range, so the plan is built against something real.

03 Step 3

Build

Design and develop the digital assets — website, landing pages, ad copy, creatives and account structure — with conversion tracking and analytics installed before anything goes live.

  • Design & build
  • Ad copy
  • Tracking setup

Design first, in the browser, against your real content — not a template with your logo dropped into it. Then the code: hand-written, fast, mobile-first, with the call button and the WhatsApp option always within reach because that is how most Indian enquiries actually arrive.

The campaign side gets built in parallel: account structure, ad groups, ad copy and negative keyword lists. Conversion tracking and Google Analytics go in before launch, never after. An account that runs for two weeks without tracking has spent two weeks of budget teaching you nothing.

What you get

  • The site or landing pages, on a staging link you can review
  • Ad copy and campaign structure, written out for approval
  • Conversion tracking installed and tested end to end

What I need from you: Your content, logo and images — and one round of feedback in one go rather than in pieces.

04 Step 4

Launch

Deploy the site and the campaigns, then verify everything end-to-end: forms deliver, calls connect, WhatsApp opens, conversions record and the ads serve where they should.

  • Go live
  • QA
  • Conversion check

Launch day is a checklist, not a celebration. Every form is submitted for real and the email is confirmed as delivered. Every phone link is tapped on an actual phone. WhatsApp is opened. A test conversion is fired and confirmed to appear in the ad account.

Then the campaigns go live on a controlled budget while the search terms report fills up. The first days of any account are mostly about finding out what Google thinks you sell, and correcting it with negatives before real money goes into the wrong queries.

What you get

  • The site live on your domain, with the old URLs redirected properly
  • Campaigns live, with tracking verified from a real device
  • Admin access to every account, in your name

What I need from you: Domain and hosting access, and billing set up on your own ad account.

05 Step 5

Optimize

Daily performance analysis, A/B testing on ads and pages, irrelevant traffic excluded with negatives, bids and budgets moved toward whatever is actually producing enquiries.

  • Daily optimisation
  • A/B testing
  • Bid management

This is where the money is either made or wasted, and it is daily work rather than a monthly review. Search terms get read and irrelevant ones excluded. Ad variants get tested against each other. Budget moves from the campaigns producing enquiries to the ones producing more of them.

Landing pages get the same treatment. A campaign with a good cost per click and a bad cost per lead is almost never an ads problem — it is a page problem, and because I built the page too, it can be fixed the same week rather than raised as a ticket with somebody else.

What you get

  • Negative keyword lists that keep growing, so waste keeps shrinking
  • Tested ad and landing page variants, with the winner kept
  • SERP positions monitored weekly

What I need from you: Honest feedback on lead quality. Which enquiries turned into customers is information the account cannot see on its own.

06 Step 6

Grow

Compound what works — organic visibility alongside paid, remarketing funnels, new keywords and audiences — with monthly or bi-monthly reporting and complete analytics.

  • SEO compounding
  • Remarketing
  • Reporting

Paid traffic stops the day you stop paying. Organic visibility does not, which is why SEO runs underneath the campaigns from the start rather than being sold to you later as a separate project.

On top of that: remarketing to the people who visited and did not enquire, new keyword and audience expansion into whatever the data has proved works, and reporting you can actually read — monthly or bi-monthly, with full analytics, plus permanent access to your own accounts so you can check any number yourself.

What you get

  • Monthly or bi-monthly reporting with complete analytics
  • Remarketing running to visitors who did not convert
  • A ranked list of what to expand into next, and why

What I need from you: A quarterly conversation about what the business wants next, so the plan follows the business rather than the other way round.

02 The rules

Things that never change.

The process flexes to fit the project. These do not, whatever the budget or the deadline.

Tracking goes in before launch

Conversion tracking and analytics are installed and tested before a single rupee of ad spend runs. An account without tracking is not cheaper — it just fails invisibly.

The accounts are in your name

Your domain, your hosting, your files, your ad accounts, your analytics. Full admin access during the work and after it. Nothing is held back as leverage to keep you as a client.

The price is agreed first

One fixed, itemised quote before anything starts. Management is a flat fee, not a percentage of your ad spend — a percentage rewards spending more, not performing better.

No guarantees that cannot be kept

Nobody can guarantee a Google ranking, and anybody who does is selling you something else. What is committed to is the work, and a report that shows exactly what moved.

One person, start to finish

The person who designed the page writes the ad that points at it. There is no account manager relaying your feedback to somebody you never meet, and nothing gets lost in the hand-off.

Real pages, real leads

No doorway pages built to game local search, no bought lead lists, no fake reviews. All three work briefly and then cost more to clean up than they ever earned.

03 See it applied

The same six steps, on real projects.

Every case study is this process written out for one business — the brief, the approach, what shipped and what changed.
